Maha: Four Bengali artisans booked for cheating Sangli jeweller of Rs 3.70 cr

Sangli, Sep 18 (UNI) The city police on Wednesday filed a criminal case against four Bengali workers who allegedly fled with 1.75 kg gold collectively worth Rs 3.70 crore from a jeweller here.
Four Bengali workers gained trust of jeweller Maheshwar Kanteshwar Javale, resident of Madhav Nagar of the city, took 1.75 kg gold from him on pretext of making a gold bar and fled with gold collectively woth Rs 3,69,97,596, police said.
Upon realising that he was being duped, Javale lodged a complainant with the city police against four artisans -- Gautam Gopal Das, Ruma Gautam Das, Saurabh Gopal Das and Subhash Govind Das alias Subho, all residents of Aatpadi at present and originally from Gopanagar, South Pada East-Mednapur in West Bengal.
