Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) The investigation into the murder of a 24-year-old woman allegedly by her father in Jalgaon revealed that as his MBBS daughter had married a class XII pass-out, the accused took the extreme step of killing his daughter and injuring his son-in-law, police said on Tuesday.
On April 27, a retired sub-inspector of police from Central Reserve Police (CRP) allegedly shot at his daughter and son-in-law at Chopda in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra.
In this incident that occurred at 10 pm on Saturday during a family function, the daughter died on the spot, while the son-in-law was seriously injured and is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
