Maha farmers frustrated and disappointed due to anti-farmer policy of BJP: Rahul Gandhi

Mumbai, Nov 12 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday tweeted that Maharashtra's soyabean and cotton farmers are frustrated and disappointed due to BJP's anti-farmer policies.
Gandhi, on his social media handle X, wrote that soyabean prices were up to Rs 10,000 in 2021, but now farmers are forced to sell at prices lower than MSP. The minimum support price of soybean is Rs 4,892, but farmers have to sell it for around Rs 4,200. Many farmers are getting even lower prices. Soybean farmers are very upset due to not getting the right price despite a good yield.
"Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) understands the problems of farmers. We will find a way to give the right price as soon as we form the government in the state. Today, during a conversation with farmers through Zoom, I also reiterated that to give them relief, we have a guaranteed loan waiver of up to Rs 3 lakh under 'Krishi Samriddhi'.
