Maha: Fake orthopaedic doctor arrested in Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 29 (UNI) The city police has arrested a self-proclaimed orthopaedic doctor Atul Wankhede after a 24-year-old online food delivery boy filed a complaint alleging that incorrect treatment was given to him by the accused doctor which worsened his spinal condition, police said here on Tuesday.
Based on the complaint by the delivery boy, Avinash Samindar, and supporting evidence, the Worli police station has police registered an FIR (first information report) against Wankhede under Sections 351(2), 340(2), 339, 338, 337, 336(4), 336(3), 336(2), 336(1), 318, 316(4), 316(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Accused was arrested the same day and produced before a court, which sent him to judicial custody, according to deputy police commissioner Dattatray Kamble.

Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) The Congress here today officially announced that it has expelled two of its Legislative Council (Vidhan Parishad) candidates who withdrew their candidatures leading to a situation where ruling Mahayuti candidates managed to win unopposed.
Congress candidates Sahebrao Kamble, who was supposed to contest from the Yavatmal constituency, and Shailesh Agarwal, who was fielded from the Chandrapur constituency, withdrew their candidatures without notifying the Maharashtra Congress leadership, which led to their expulsion from the party.
