Maha: ED issues summons to Shilpa Shetty's husband in money laundering case

Mumbai, Dec 1 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued summons to businessman Raj Kundra, the husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, directing him to remain present in ED office for questioning in a money laundering case linked to alleged illegal distribution of pornographic movies, official sources said on Sunday.
The ED on Friday had raided Kundra's residence in Juhu area of the city in connection with the pornography case lodged against him.
In May 2022, the central agency registered a money laundering case against him in connection with the pornography case.
The ED is probing the financial transactions pertaining to the case.
The Mumbai police have already filed a chargesheet against Kundra and three other accused linked to the case.
In 2021, Kundra spent two months in Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail and was granted bail in September that year.
