Mumbai, Nov 8 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC)'s flying squads and police teams have seized Rs 7.3 crore and a vehicle with pressure cookers in four incidents in past two days from various parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), officials said on Friday.
Ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra Assembly election, a heavy police 'bandobast' has been deployed in the state as well as various check-posts have been erected in each assembly constituency.
During a routine checking, police has seized a car with pressure cookers having a poster of Vijay Choughule, the independent candidate from Airoli constituency who is contesting under the election symbol pressure cooker.
