Maha: Drugs worth Rs 13 crore seized in Srirampur, one arrested

Ahilyanagar, May 15 (UNI) In a major operation conducted by Mahrashtra police, 408 kg of Alprazolam worth Rs 13 crore 75 lakh 41 thousand was seized in Ahilyanagar district, a senior officer said on Thursday.
Police have arrested a small goods vehicle driver and a case has been registered against a chemical engineer at Srirampur city police station under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
Police arrested Mininath Vishnu Rashinkar (38) a resident of Dhangarwadi, Rahata, Ahilyanagar. Shrirampur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dr. Basavaraj Shivpuje said this is the first action to seize drugs worth about Rs 14 crore in Ahilyanagar district.
