Maha: Dr Gorhe stresses on women empowerment

Mumbai, Dec 1 (UNI) Deputy Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council and president of Stree Aadhaar Kendra, Dr Neelam Gorhe, said on Sunday that a campaign cannot be successful without the active participation of women in implementation, planning and evaluation of a public campaign and asserted that 'RPSI' four points are important for women empowerment.
Speaking on the topic 'Role and methods of creating a political network of women MPs and MLAs for women empowerment' at a two-day Network of Political Women roundtable conference organised in Kochi, Kerala, she said that responsive and responsible leadership from the perspective of gender equality, criteria for making decisions based on quality, time and work, to develop networks from local to national level, plurality and space for diversity in various sectors of Indian politics.
She advocated for a detailed discussion on legal issues, policy decisions, important developments at national and international level for women empowerment.
