Maha: BMC clarifies that death of 2 patients in Mumbai govt hospital not due to Covid-19

Mumbai, May 19 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday clarified that the death of two female patients at the state government-run King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital in Parel were due to co-morbidities and not due to COVID-19, even as it advised citizens not to panic and take all precautions.
It may be recalled that a 59-year-old woman with cancer and a 14-year-old girl with kidney disease died at KEM hospital. Both tested positive for Covid-19 posthumously.
Doctors clarified that these deaths on Sunday were not caused due to Covid-19.
