Maha BJP chief expresses gratitude to party workers

Mumbai, May 20 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bhavankule on Monday wrote a letter to party workers, thanking them for their efforts in reaching out to electorates across the state and expressed that the party will achieve great success in just-concluded Lok Sabha elections in the state.
In an emotional letter, he stated that all phases of the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra went smoothly and commended them for working round-the-clock for a dream of making Narendra Modi prime minister for third time for developed India.
"BJP is not a political party. It is a family... We reached every district, every taluka and every village with Modi's dream of a developed India. I have no words to express my gratitude for that," he added.

Kolhapur, May 18 (UNI) The workers of all political parties, farmers and flood-affected people from Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara districts on Sunday staged a 'chakka jam' (stop all vehicle traffic) agitation at Ankali bridge on Kolhapur-Sangli road in Hatkanangale tehsil of the district to protest against proposed raising height of the Almatti dam in neighbouring Karnataka, fearing it would worsen flood situation in these districts.
