Maha: Anna Hazare criticises Kejriwal

Pune, Feb 8 (UNI) Reacting to the Delhi election results declared on Saturday, prominent social activist Anna Hazare has strongly criticised former Delhi chief minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, saying that he was defeated by his liquor policy.
He said that the decisions taken by Kejriwal as the chief minister of Delhi regarding alcohol were wrong. "The party is for the people's issues, not for himself."
Hazare noted that when selfish politics starts, a person ends.
Noted activist further said that he was opposed to Kejriwal forming a party from the beginning.
"I had advised Arvind Kejriwal not to enter politics. I had advised him to work for the country by doing social service, but he had rejected my suggestion. Now, Kejriwal should accept the people's vote," he added.
Hazare, along with Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Manish Sisodia and few others sat on a hunger strike at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi in 2012 against alleged corruption of the UPA government at the Centre and on the issue of Lokpal.
After this movement, Hazare and Kejriwal parted ways, with the latter entering politics by founding AAP.
