Maha: ACB officials nab three for accepting bribe

Kolhapur/Satara, March 11 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials from the Satara division arrested three suspects, including a president of Chandrahar Patil Rural Education Institutions, a library clerk and a private agent, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from a complainant in exchange for facilitating a promotion to the position of professor in a college.
The Arrested individuals include Ajit Ramchandra Patil, 59, who serves as the president of Chandrahar Patil Rural Education Institutions; Anil Sadashiv Gujar, 42, a library clerk; and Ravindra Ganpati Pawar, 36, a private agent.
In a press release, it was reported that the complainant, who serves as the assistant professor at Shahaji College, along with president Patil and Gujar, allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakh in exchange for providing a promotion letter for a position as a professor.
