LS adjourned till 12 noon over protest by Opposition MPs

New Delhi, Mar 24 (UNI) Minutes after starting its business on Monday, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon due to protests by some opposition members, who were carrying posters.
The speaker strongly disapproved of the display of the posters, saying it was against the rules and hurt the dignity of the House.
"You can’t bring posters to the House. Please cooperate. If you show the posters in the House, I will be forced to take action against you,” he said.
When the House met at 11 am, Samajwadi Party MPs started protests over certain crimes in Uttar Pradesh. The protesting SP members were carrying some posters.
Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha is scheduled to discuss the Finance bill today.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to move the Bill to give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 2025-2026.

Drug network busted: Crime Branch seizes 26 35 kg ganja, three arrested

New Delhi, July 14 (UNI) The Delhi Police Crime Branch has busted an alleged interstate ganja trafficking network operating between Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi-NCR, arresting three accused and seizing 26.35 kg of ganja, a commercial quantity. Police said the operation disrupted a major narcotics supply chain and further investigation is underway to identify other members of the syndicate and trace the financial trail.
