LPU awards scholarships worth over ₹12 Cr to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana 2025 Batch

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI) Lovely Professional University (LPU) on Tuesday announced it has awarded scholarships worth over Rs 12 crores for its incoming 2025 batch from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.
The university granted scholarships to thousands of deserving students, around 3,000 of them receiving up to 70 percent of their program fee waived, the university said in a release here.
LPU’s wide-ranging scholarships recognize exceptional performance in academics, sports, cultural activities, innovation, and community service.

Karnataka renews demand to scrap NEET, restore CET from 2026

Bengaluru, May 16 (UNI) Intensifying its opposition to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for undergraduate medical admissions (NEET-UG), the Karnataka government on Saturday urged the Centre to abolish the examination from the 2026 academic year and restore the powers of states to conduct their own Common Entrance Tests (CETs), citing repeated controversies, alleged paper leaks and growing distrust in the national testing system.
