LPU announces 25L to Vinesh

Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) Lovely Professional University (LPU) on Wednesday announced to give a prize of Rs 25 lakh to Wrestler Vinesh Phogat.
The announcement came after the news of Vinesh's disqualifying for being overweight.
University's founder chancellor and Rajya Sabha member Ashok Kumar Mittal said in a statement, "For us, she is the medal winner due to her dedication, skill and talent. So, we are feeling proud to give her Rs 25 lakh prize announced for a Silver Medal winner. "

Woman, lover arrested for strangling husband in UP
