Lok Sabha adjourned till 2 PM amid protests; Treasury, Opposition trade charges

New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Parliamentary proceedings in both the Houses were repeatedly adjourned on Monday amidst intense protests and demands for apologies from both the Treasury benches and the Opposition, reflecting a deepening political standoff on some slogans being raised at Sunday's Congress rally in Delhi against the Prime Minister.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned twice during the day. The first adjournment, until noon, came shortly after proceedings began, following loud protests from Treasury bench members demanding an apology from the Congress over alleged threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Congress rally on Sunday.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju condemned the incident, stating that slogans like "Modi, teri kabr khudegi, aaj nahi toh kal khudegi" (Modi, your grave will be dug, if not today, then tomorrow) heard at the Congress rally as unacceptable.
