Liverpool confirms deal close for Parma defender Leoni

London, Aug 14 (UNI) Liverpool head coach Arne Slot today revealed the club has agreed a fee to sign Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.
Reports in the British press suggest that Liverpool has agreed to pay around 30 million U.S. dollars for the 18-year-old who has made 17 league appearances for the Italian club, and Slot was happy to confirm the deal was very close.
"The clubs have agreed a deal, but he hasn't signed for us yet. The moment he signs for us, I can go into more details," said Slot in his Thursday press conference.
