Lily Gladstone to headline The Thomas Crown Affair

Los Angeles, July 8 (UNI) Academy Award nominee Lily Gladstone has joined the cast of upcoming reimagining of "The Thomas Crown Affair", a stylish heist thriller to be helmed by and starring Michael B. Jordan.
While details of Gladstone's role remain undisclosed, her involvement signals another high-profile chapter in a career that continues to gather remarkable momentum.
Earlier this morning, it was confirmed that Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh has joined the cast, alongside Taylor Russell. The film is scheduled to begin principal photography this summer, reports DEADLINE.
Inspired by the 1968 classic starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway and its 1999 reinterpretation led by Prince Bronson, this contemporary retelling centres on a charismatic, affluent mastermind who orchestrates a daring theft not for material gain but for the intellectual and emotional thrill, only to find himself locked in a cerebral game of cat and mouse with a sharp-minded investigator.
As previously reported, Drew Pearce wrote the script for The Thomas Crown Affair, with Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson penning an earlier draft, based on the original film. Patrick McCormick and Toberoff Productions’ Marc Toberoff will also serve as producers, with Alan Trustman — who penned the 1968 original — serving as executive producer. Produced and distributed by Amazon MGM.
Since becoming the first Native American to be nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her starring role in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, Gladstone has been seen starring in Erica Tremblay’s Apple pic Fancy Dance, Morrisa Maltz’s indie drama Jazzy, and Hulu’s Under the Bridge.
Currently, she can be seen starring in Andrew Ahn’s update on The Wedding Banquet for Bleecker Street. Other upcoming projects include Mark Pellington’s action thriller Lone Wolf, opposite Bryan Cranston, and the starry indie comedy In Memoriam from writer-director Rob Burnett.
