Let the echo of your votes be heard till Delhi: Kharge to Haryana voters

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday urged the people of Haryana especially the '36 communities' to come out in large numbers to vote so that the "echo of pressing the EVM button is heard till Delhi and a complete change can take place".
On his social media handle X, Kharge said, "Voting is taking place today for the Haryana Assembly elections. I appeal to all the people of Haryana including the 36 communities to definitely cast their votes. Your one vote will take Haryana on the path of prosperity and social justice."
Urging the voters to remember the 10 years of misgovernance, Kharge said, "Before casting your vote, remember that in the last 10 years, Haryana has got nothing except unemployment, inflation, corruption, paper leaks, poor conditions of villages and cities, fraud in identity cards, women insecurity, social discrimination and economic inequality. Haryana's development has been ruined due to the greed for power."
"Your one vote today will put an end to all this. Haryana will once again start walking on the path of progress. If the future of Haryana has to be changed, then the echo of pressing the EVM button should be heard till Delhi so that complete change can take place," the Rajya Sabha MP said.
Kharge further added, "I urge our youth, especially those who are voting for the first time, to participate in this celebration of democracy."
Voting to the Haryana assembly is underway. The fates of prominent candidates including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Dushyant Chautala, Vinesh Phogat will be sealed in the EVM.
The result of the election to pick a 90-member Assembly will be declared on October 8.
