Legal action to be taken for flying drones, UAV over Jewar airport: police

Lucknow, Apr 26 (UNI) As per the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Directorate General of Civil Aviation and security agencies, Noida International Airport (Jewar) has been declared a Red Zone (No-Drone Fly Zone) from October 8, 2024, a police spokesman said here on Saturday.
The spokesman said that flying drones or any type of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) over and around Noida International Airport is completely prohibited. "This ban has been implemented keeping in mind the security of the airport and monitoring of the airspace," he said.
He said that flying a drone without permission in this area is a punishable offence under the Airports Authority of India Act-1934 and the rules related to UAV operations. "Legal action will be taken against any person, institution or group found violating this instruction. All citizens are requested to follow this rule and cooperate with the security system of the airport," he said.
