LCB police arrest burglar and recover gold, silver ornaments worth Rs 36.75 lakh

Kolhapur, July 11 (UNI) Local Crime Branch (LCB) police team today succeeded in arresting a burglar within twelve hours who stole golden and silver ornaments valued at Rs 36.75 lakh from a resident in the BSNL colony in Jaysingpur town of this district.
In an LCB press release, a burglar, who identified as Raju Ramyyaa Mahadpalli (46), resident of Kankipadu of Vijaywada district in Andhra Pradesh, broke open a resident in BSNL colony last night and decamped with 350.38 grams of golden ornaments and 2385 grams of silver ornaments, totalling Rs 3,675,416.
On a tip, LCB police laid a trap at the Sugar Mill area in Kasba Bavada, a suburb of the city here, and arrested the suspected accused, whose vehicle confessed to the housebreaking incident. Police seized all golden and silver ornaments from him.
