Lawlessness has become rampant in West Bengal under TMC: Poonawalla

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Wednesday hit out at the West Bengal Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, alleging "lawlessness has become rampant in the state".
He claimed that the Supreme Court has also taken note of the prevailing situation in one of its verdicts, observing that the state government had interfered in an ongoing investigation and allegedly removed evidence.
Poonawalla said that a public representative of the TMC, who has sworn an oath on the Constitution, is now instigating what he described as “reprehensible violence” against a constitutional authority. He said such conduct has become a pattern for the party.
