Law and order collapsed, government patronising criminals in Bihar: alleges Tejashwi

Patna, Jan 23 (UNI) Leader of the opposition in Bihar assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday alleged that law and order situation had totally collapsed in Bihar during the NDA regime headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Yadav told media persons here that criminals and a former MLA Anant Singh were engaged in exchange of fire in a village of Mokama, near Patna district. More than hundreds rounds of firing were reported from the spot, he added.
"Chief Minister has not given any statement on the issue so far which is strange ", the leader of the opposition, also a senior RJD leader said and added that Kumar was instrumental in release of two criminals turned politicians Anant Singh and Anand Mohan Singh from jail.
After release of Anant Singh from jail, criminal activities had started again, he pointed out.
"If RJD is voted to power in 2025 Bihar assembly election, no criminal will be spared", the Senior RJD leader said, alleging that criminals were being patronised by Nitish Kumar government.
Even relatives of Ministers in Nitish cabinet were also engaged in criminal activities, he alleged.
