Land meant for public toilets being used as BJP party offices in Borivali, claims Shiv Sena (UBT)

Mumbai, May 9 ( UNI) A controversy has erupted in Mumbai after Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Akhil Chitre alleged that land reserved for public toilets in Borivali’s Aksar village has been converted into a BJP office and storage space for campaign material.
According to Chitre, out of 18 toilets planned by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), 10 are reportedly missing, while spaces meant for public sanitation facilities are allegedly being used for political meetings and party-related activities.
Targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Chitre said that despite the BJP being in power at the Centre, in Maharashtra, and in the BMC administration, local residents — especially women and senior citizens are struggling due to the lack of basic sanitation facilities.
