Lalu blames mismanagement of railways for stampede at ND station

Patna, Feb 16 (UNI) RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday blamed mismanagement of Railways for stampede at New Delhi station on Saturday night, killing 18 people while several others were injured.
Prasad, also former Railway Minister, expressed his deep shock over deaths of 18 people in stampede at New Delhi station. It was sheer mismanagement of Railways which led to stampede and deaths of people at New Delhi station, he alleged.
"When so many people are going to Prayagraj for Mahakumbh from all corners of the country, Railways should have made better arrangements to handle the heavy rush," RJD leader said, adding that the callous attitude of Railways stood exposed in the incident. He paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the incident.
Prasad, responding to a query of media persons, said that Railway Minister should own the responsibility for the incident. Definitely, he remarked while responding to queries of media persons on the failure of Railways for the accident.
As it is, 18 people were killed and several others sustained injuries in stampede at New Delhi station on Saturday night. Some of the deceased are from Bihar.
