Laboratory report confirms ‘Bird Flu' in East Godavari: Collector

Rajahmundry, AP, Feb 10 (UNI) East Godavari District Collector P Prashanthi on Monday made it clear that the chickens perished in Kanuru Agraharam village in Peravali mandal due to ‘Bird Flu’ and the laboratory report confirmed it.
Collector Prashanthi has ordered that people within a 10-kilometre radius of Kanuru village in Peravali mandal should be vigilant and that officials should create awareness about precautions as the laboratory report has confirmed that the virus is ‘Bird Flu’.
The Collector today reviewed the AVN Influenza prevention and control activities here with the officers of the Police, Revenue, Animal Husbandry Department, and the Forest.
