Kunan Poshpura holds mega rally for green drive, women empowerment

Srinagar, Apr 11 (UNI) Kunan Poshpura, a village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, witnessed a massive rally on Saturday, reflecting a growing spirit of unity, reform and community-led transformation.
The event was attended by senior civil and police officials, including the District Commissioner and SSP Kupwara, and featured a series of initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment and social reform.
According to a defence spokesman, the rally was driven by a strong sense of purpose. A major highlight was the launch of a plantation drive involving the planting of three lakh trees, aimed at restoring the local ecosystem and promoting a greener future.
