Kudankulam N-power Unit 3 heading towards a major milestone

Chennai, Nov 10 (UNI) Pre-commissioning activities are underway at the third unit of 1,000 MW Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) in the coastal Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, Russian integrated atomic power major Rosatom said today.
The company also expressed its interest in participating in India’s plans to set up small nuclear power plants and the fuel cycle.
"At Unit 3, pre-commissioning activities are underway, with preparations for one of the key upcoming milestones--testing of safety systems on an open reactor", it said.
