KTR slams Congress Govt over fertilizer shortage

Hyderabad, July 6 (UNI) BRS Working President and former Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticised the Congress-led Telangana government for "failing" to address the issues faced by farmers, especially fertilizer shortages.
Taking to social media, KTR expressed deep concern over the deteriorating condition of farmers in the state. He accused the Revanth Reddy-led government of neglecting the agricultural sector and ignoring the pressing needs of farmers. “Even if a farmer takes a loan and begins cultivation, he is forced to face a shortage of fertilizers,” KTR said in a tweet, reflecting the frustration of the farming community.
He questioned the government's inability to ensure timely fertilizer distribution despite collecting Aadhaar details from farmers. Highlighting the gravity of the situation, he pointed out a staggering shortfall of 1.94 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizers across Telangana.
