Kohli named Impact Player as RCB opt to field, Hazlewood returns

Bengaluru, Apr 15 (UNI) Star batsman Virat Kohli was named among the Impact Players as Josh Hazlewood returned to the playing XI and Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to field against Lucknow Super Giants in their Indian Premier League encounter at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Tuesday.
Explaining the decision, Patidar said the surface looked good for batting but could offer some advantage early on for the bowlers. "We're going to bowl first. It's pretty obvious. I see a pretty good surface, so we'll try to take advantage in the first innings and keep the pressure," he said.
He noted that unlike the previous match, the pitch had little grass and was expected to play better for batting. Patidar also confirmed one change in the side, with Hazlewood coming in place of Duffy.

Ahmedabad, May 13 (UNI) Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain Pat Cummins has been fined Rs 12 lakhs after his team maintained a slow over rate during Match No. 56 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Tuesday.
"As this was his team's first offence of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL's Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences, Cummins was fined INR 12 lakhs," according to an IPL media statement.
