KMC councillors meeting called off as Mamata leaves for INDIA Bloc meet in Delhi

Kolkata, Jun 7 (UNI) The very important meeting of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation councillors convened by former chief minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to be called off as the Trinamool Congress supremo will fly to New Delhi on Sunday to attend the crucial INDIA bloc meeting on Monday.
Banerjee was scheduled to meet all Trinamool Congress councillors of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation at the party headquarters on the EM Bypass this afternoon amid growing uncertainty over the party's future course of action in the civic body following the resignation of Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim.
However, party sources said Banerjee will leave for New Delhi on Sunday itself to participate in the INDIA alliance meeting scheduled for Monday, making it impossible for her to attend the councillors' meeting.
