Kheer ceremony held for first time in Delhi Vidhan Sabha premises

New Delhi, Mar 24 (UNI) Ahead of the commencement of the Budget Session, a 'kheer' ceremony was held in the Delhi Assembly premises on Monday in the presence of Finance Minister and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, her cabinet colleagues and legislators.
The Delhi government had invited doctors, teachers, lawyers and auto drivers.
On this occasion, Gupta fed kheer to people from all sections of the society.
On this occasion, Gupta thanked people from all sections of the society for their cooperation in making the budget and said today's occasion is similar to the way Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after completing 14 years of exile.
After 27 years, the BJP is going to present the budget in the assembly on Tuesday.
Earlier, under the new initiative, kheer has been offered to Lord Shri Ram.
"Like the sweetness of this kheer, our government's budget will give a new direction to the development of Delhi," she added.
