Kharge calls for coordinated relief efforts after flash floods ravage Jammu Region

New Delhi, Jul 19 (UNI) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge today expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives and large-scale devastation caused by flash floods and relentless rainfall in the Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the districts of Poonch and Rajouri, and called for immediate rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures for affected families.
In a post on social media platform X, Kharge extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in the disaster and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
"I am deeply distressed by the tragic loss of lives and the devastation caused by the flash floods and incessant rains in the Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in Poonch and Rajouri. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and the safety of all those affected," he said.
