Khaleda Zia admitted to hospital

Dhaka, Sep 12 (UNI) Khaleda Zia, former Bangladesh Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), was admitted to a hospital in Dhaka early Thursday, media reports said.
“As per the medical board’s decision, Madam (Khaleda) was brought to Evercare Hospital. The board has recommended several tests,” said her physician, Professor AZM Zahid Hossain, according to Dhaka Tribune.
Sayrul Kabir Khan of the BNP media cell said Zia reached the hospital at about 1.40 am from her Gulshan house.
Earlier, on August 21, Zia returned home from hospital after 45-day treatment, reports said.
According to media reports, on June 23 a team of expert surgeons installed a pacemaker in Khaleda Zia's chest.
Zia has long struggled liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, heart, and eye problems.
