KGMU intern arrested in sexual exploitation case, police inaction under scrutiny

Lucknow, Jan 16 (UNI) King George’s Medical University (KGMU), one of Uttar Pradesh’s most prestigious medical institutions, has once again come under controversy. After the recent arrest of Dr. Rameez on serious charges, another case has surfaced involving an intern doctor. Police have arrested KGMU intern Dr. Mohd. According to the complaint, the victim alleged that the accused trapped her in a romantic relationship, promised to marry her, and called her to his flat, where he established physical relations with her. She further accused him of secretly recording obscene photos and videos and later threatening to make them viral on social media.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vishwajeet Srivastava said that the victim, a nursing student residing in a PG in the Aliganj area, had come into contact with Mohd. Adil, who was pursuing his MBBS internship at KGMU. Over time, their friendship turned into a relationship. The accused allegedly took her to his flat near Aga Saheb Ki Kothi in the Kaisarbagh area, where he sexually exploited her under the promise of marriage.
