Kerala Police to deploy 18,741 personnel for Sabarimala pilgrimage season

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 14 (UNI) The Kerala Police have completed comprehensive preparations to ensure a safe and smooth Sabarimala Mandala–Makaravilakku pilgrimage, which begins on November 17, the first day of the Malayalam month of Vrischikam.
A total of 18,741 police personnel, including senior officers and civil police staff, will be on duty throughout the festival season at the world famous Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala.
A six-phase security plan has been drawn up, and operations have been divided across the Nilakkal, Pampa, and Sannidhanam zones.
