Kerala local body polls to be held on Dec 9 & 11; Counting on Dec 13

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 10 (UNI) The Kerala State Election Commission today announced that the local body elections in the State will be conducted in two phases on December 9 and 11, with counting scheduled for December 13.
State Election Commissioner A. Shajahan made the announcement here and confirmed that the model code of conduct has come into effect across the state.
Elections will be held for 1,199 local self-government institutions, including grama panchayats, block and district panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations. Polling will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m on both days.
