Kerala CM's remarks on Rs 10,000 crore Mission Samudra Investment clarified

Thiruvananthapuram, July 17 (UNI) The Kerala Government on Friday clarified that Mission Samudra is designed to attract investments worth around Rs 10,000 crore over the coming years to develop a world-class maritime and shipbuilding ecosystem in the State, dismissing media reports that interpreted Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan's recent television interview as referring to a single investment proposal.
In a statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department, the Government said the Chief Minister's remarks reflected the State's long-term vision of transforming Kerala into one of India's premier maritime and shipbuilding hubs.
The projected Rs 10,000 crore investment is the cumulative value expected from multiple projects and investors under Mission Samudra and not a concluded agreement with any individual company.
