Kedarnath shrine township to have its own power substation

Dehradun, Oct 8 (UNI) Recurring power cuts in Kedarnath area will no longer be an issue for locals and pilgrims as the Uttarakhand government has begun an exercise to set up a new high tech 33/11 kilovolt power substation at the shrine area.
The need for a separate power station resulted following the creation of a new township known as Kedarpuri in the past more than 12 years.
Uttarakhand power corporation limited (UPCL) officials informed that a modern power station will be set by UPPCL in Kedarnath Dham.
