KCHR releases 6 research books at Kerala Legislative Assembly International Book Festival

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 13 (UNI) Six scholarly books published by the Kerala Council for Historical Research (KCHR) were released as part of the Kerala Legislative Assembly International Book Festival (KLAIBF) 2026 at the Legislative Assembly Complex.
The book “Institutions, Individuals, and Practices: Anthropological Essays," a collection of selected essays by eminent anthropologist Dr. A. Ayyappan, edited by Prasanth Madhav and Rafi Neelamkavil, was received by the Vice-Chairperson of the Kerala State Higher Education Council, Prof. Rajan Gurukkal.
The publication “When Cochin Became Cidade de Cochim (1527–1616)”, translated by Davies C.J, which provides an in-depth analysis of Kochi during the Portuguese period and includes crucial documents on the colonial administrative structure of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, was received by former Kerala Bhasha Institute Director Prof Karthikeyan Nair.
