Katariniaghat to offer rebate to attract tourists

Bahraich (UP), Sep 28 (UNI) In the bid to attract more and more tourists in Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary the authorities have decided to reduce the entry fee being charged from the tourists besides allowing entry of children below five years of age free of cost, a forest department officer said here on Thursday.
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Akashdeep Wadhawan said that an adult will be charged an entry fee of Rs 150 instead of Rs 300 fixed earlier. "Similarly, the Safari charge which was fixed at Rs 2,000 will be reduced to Rs 500. Besides, boating charges of Rs 250 per person per hour will also be reduced to Rs 100," he said.
He said that the decision to slash charges was taken during the meeting of the Dudhwa Tiger Conservation Foundation on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Forest Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dr Arun Saxena.
