Kartik, Dewal Brevis cameos helps CSk score 180 for 7 against SRH in a do or die IPL clash

Chennai, May 18 (UNI) Nice cameos by middle order batters Kartik Sharma and Dewald Brevis helped five time winner Chennai Super Kings (CSK) score 180 for seven, in what looked like a competitive total on a sluggish pitch, against Sun Risders Hyderabad (SRH) in a must win IPL contest at the M A Chidambaram stadium here on Monday night.
CSK got off to a flier, lost the momentum in the middle overs as SRH bowlers applied the brakes, before Kartik and Brevis held the innings together, managed to step up the momentum, with Kartik coming up with a peach of an innings as CSK, reached 50 in the fifth over, 100 in 12th and 150 in 17th, and eventually finished at a total which looked definitely challenging considering the nature of the wicket.
Batting first after winning the toss on a slow wicket, CSK got off to a flier, before the flow of runs were stemmed by some superb bowling by the SRH pacers, who varied their pace and picked wickets not allowing any leeway for the home team batters to dominate.
