Karnataka police arrest JDS leader Suraj Revanna on sodomy charges

Holenarasipur (Hassan), June 23 (UNI) Janata Dal-Secular leader Suraj Revanna was arrested on Sunday for allegedly sodomising a male party worker. Suraj, taken into custody following a complaint lodged by a young man from Arkalgud taluk, is the brother of Prajwal Revanna - already embroiled in multiple sexual assault cases,
Suraj has, however, rubbished the charges, dubbing them "politically motivated".
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on June 16 at Suraj's farmhouse in Gannikada village, Holenarasipur taluk. The complainant alleged that he was coerced into a "homosexual act" by the legislator. Despite initially facing resistance from the Holenarasipur police, the victim managed to file his complaint at the DG&IGP’s office in Bengaluru.
