Karnataka pays, Centre claims credit: Siddaramaiah

Hubballi, Jan 24 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led central government, alleging that while the State government bears the bulk of housing costs, the Centre takes credit by branding the schemes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Addressing a housing distribution programme organised by the Housing Department and Karnataka Housing Board here, the Chief Minister said the state government spends between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh per house, whereas the central contribution is less than Rs one lakh. "The money is from the state government, but the name alone belongs to the Prime Minister," he remarked.
Siddaramaiah said his government distributed 42,345 houses built by the Housing Board and 46,000 houses constructed by the Slum Development Board to eligible beneficiaries across the state, asserting that the objective was to bring slum dwellers and the poor into the social mainstream.

Kochi, Feb 18 (UNI) The Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group has secured a landmark contract from Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to deploy next-generation gate and perimeter security systems across key access points at the airport.
Under the project, advanced vehicular security infrastructure will be installed at the entry and exit gates of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
