Karnataka leadership issue back as DKS meets Gandhis in Delhi

Bengaluru/New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) After a brief lull, the simmering leadership issue in the Karnataka Congress resurfaced on Monday, with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar holding meetings with senior party leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in the national capital on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after the meetings, Shivakumar said he was also scheduled to meet Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal. "I have already met Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. Today, Kharge and I are supposed to go to Davanagere, but the flight has been delayed due to bad weather," he said.
At the recently held "Vote Chori" rally in the national capital, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar appeared together and projected a united front, signalling efforts to quell speculation over internal discord.
