Karnataka ensures safe return of stranded people from Nepal

Bengaluru, Sept 10 (UNI) The Karnataka Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) today said all Kannadigas stranded in Nepal due to the ongoing political unrest are safe. The state government is actively coordinating with Indian and Nepalese authorities to facilitate their safe return.
In response to the escalating situation in Nepal, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directed Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh to oversee the safe evacuation of 39 Kannadigas stranded at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. These individuals had arrived in Nepal on August 24 for a two-week vacation but found themselves caught in the turmoil following the eruption of widespread protests.
The chief secretary has been in continuous contact with the Ministry of External Affairs and other relevant agencies to expedite their safe return.
