Kangra District Task Force meets for Pulse Polio campaign on Dec 21

Dharamshala, Dec 16 (UNI): The Kangra District Health Department today held a meeting of the District Task Force for Immunization to ensure the successful conduct of the Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign scheduled for December 21.
Chairing the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kangra Vinay Kumar directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure that no child is deprived of the polio vaccine. He stressed that despite polio being under control, sustained efforts are essential to maintain this protection. He also emphasized IEC activities, inter-departmental coordination and community participation to enhance public awareness.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Vivek Karol called upon all concerned departments to extend full cooperation, terming the campaign vital for safeguarding children against polio. District Health Officer Dr Rajesh Sood shared details of the action plan, stating that all children aged zero to five years will be administered two drops of life-saving polio vaccine.
