Kakinada: BJP demands removal of AGP, AAPs from service for violation of model code

Kakinada, Apr 14(UNI) The district BJP leaders including Duvvuri Subrahmanyam party Media Panelist, Yarlagadda Ramkumar party official spokesperson, Yenimireddy Malakondaiah Party Narasapuram incharge and senior leader Ponugupati Chinasubbarao have appealed to the Election commission of India, Chief Electoral officer of Andhra Pradesh and the district collector and Returning officer of Kakinada Parliamentary constituency to take action against the AGPs and APPs for violation of model code by meeting the ruling party candidate for Kakinada Lok Sabha seat Chalamalasetty Sunil and expressing their support .
In a letter released to media persons here on Sunday , the BJP leaders have demanded the election authorities to take immediate action against the AGPs and APPs by terminating them from government services .
They recalled that based on their complaint to the ECI and CEO against the AGPs and APPs on April 7, the assistant returning officer of Kakinada Assembly constituency had conducted the enquiry on April 12 for which the BJP leaders attended and deposed producing pucca photo evidence . But the APPs and AGPs did not attend the hearing and not even denied the charge. Hence they demanded immediate action against the AGPs and APPs concerned assuming that they had confessed to the charges leveled against them.
