Junior engineer, contract worker of electricity department held taking Rs 40,000 bribe in Firozabad

Firozabad (UP) Jan 22 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Organisation team from Agra arrested two employees of the Electricity Department, including a Junior Engineer (JE), on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The action was carried out late Wednesday evening during a raid at a One-Time Settlement Scheme camp for electricity department in the Araon police station area of the district.
According to reports, the Anti-Corruption team conducted a surprise raid at the camp in Bhuda Bhartara village, following a complaint by a resident. During the operation, Junior Engineer Rajesh Kumar and a contract lineman, Jai Prakash, were caught red-handed while allegedly accepting the bribe.
