Jubilee Hills by-poll: Eligible can vote with any of 12 valid photo IDs: DEO

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) A month ahead of the by-election for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO) RV Karnan today issued an advisory saying voters whose names appear in the electoral rolls but they do not possess a photo I-card can still vote by presenting any one of the 12 approved identification documents.
The valid photo ID documents are: Aadhaar Card ; MNREGA job card ; passbook with photograph issued by Bank or post office ; health insurance smart card issued by Ministry of Labour or Ayushman Bharat Health Card ; driving licence; PAN Card ; smart card issued by Registrar General of India under National Population Register (NPR), Indian passport, pension document with photo; service ID with photograph issued to employees by Central/state government, PSUs, or public limited companies; official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs and Unique Disability ID (UDID) card issued by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Karnan emphasized that voter identification is mandatory and urged all citizens to be aware of the acceptable documents to ensure smooth and inclusive polling.

Tirumala, Nov 7 (UNI) Asserting that among the available darshan time in a day, priority is given to common devotees only rather than the VIPs and ticket holders, said TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal. Even today, in the avialable Darshan time, over 70 percent time is allotted to common devotees. However, he said TTD Board has formed a committee to resolve the issues in various formats of darshan and ensure a hassle free darshan to the devotees.
